Tbilvino

Tbilvino was set up nearly sixty years ago and is now one of Georgia's leading wineries. By the end of the Soviet era it had almost stopped working, until the Margvelashvili brothers bought it, rebuilt it and moved the focus from quantity to quality.

In 2008 they refurbished the original winery in Tbilisi, and in 2012 built a second one in Kvareli, near the Russian border, for their qvevri wines. The style is clean and bright, using modern kit alongside the traditional methods and local grapes that make Georgian wine so special.
