Tissot-Maire

Tissot-Maire is a sparkling wine house in Arbois, at the centre of winemaking in France's Jura. It was set up in 2000 by two of the region's oldest families, the people behind Domaine Maire & Fils and Maison Tissot, who between them go back eleven generations.

They focus on Crémant du Jura, with a real feel for where it comes from. The vines grow on chalky Jurassic soils, which give the wines finesse. Grapes are picked by hand and pressed as whole bunches, and the wines spend a long time on their lees. That softens the acidity and builds texture and flavour.
