Tormaresca

Tormaresca is Piero Antinori's estate in Puglia, down in the heel of Italy. In the mid-1990s he toured the region with Renzo Cotarella and saw a place with ancient grapes and a long history that had not yet shown what it could do.

They took charge of Tormaresca in 2009 and set about making top-quality wine from local grapes in the Salento and Primitivo di Manduria areas. They work with Fiano, Negroamaro, Primitivo and Aglianico.

The vines are planted very close together, which gives the wines extra depth. Plenty of sun and the nearby sea keep them fresh, lively and elegant.

Tormaresca wines
