Tournon

Tournon is the Australian home of the Chapoutier family, best known for their wines from France's Rhône Valley. Michel Chapoutier first came to Victoria in 1997, making wine with well-known local wineries like Giaconda and Jasper Hill.

In 2009 he bought two estates of his own, Landsborough Valley and Shays Flat, in the Pyrenees region of Victoria, and Tournon was born. As you might guess, Shiraz is the star. The wines bring some of the mineral, elegant feel of the northern Rhône, while still tasting of Victoria's own soil and climate.
