Producer Languedoc-Roussillon, France

Via Nostrum

Via Nostrum is a red from Corbières in the Languedoc, in southern France. The name points to the Via Domitia, the Roman road that ran through this part of France and helped spread its wines across the Roman Empire.

The grapes grow near Thézan-des-Corbières, looking out at a limestone massif. Hilly ground, marl, sandstone and limestone soils and a hot, dry climate give a rich, velvety wine that still has good structure.
