Vincent Girardin

The Girardin family lived in Santenay, in the south of Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, for three hundred years. Vincent was the one who struck out on his own.

He started with two hectares handed down by his parents and, over about thirty years, built the domaine up to twenty. He also buys fruit from chosen sites to round out the range. Since 2009 his own vines have been farmed along biodynamic lines. In the cellar he aims for clear, pure flavours in wines that are also lovely to drink young.
