Weingut A. Christmann is a family estate in Gimmeldingen, a village in the Pfalz in southwest Germany. Steffen Christmann and his daughter Sophie are the eighth and ninth generations here.

Steffen has 25 years of experience on the estate and is also president of the VDP, the German growers' association. Sophie came home after studying at Geisenheim and working at wineries around the world. They also have a sparkling wine project, Sektgut Christmann & Kauffmann, with Mathieu Kauffmann, who was once cellar master at Bollinger.
