Prunus

Prunus is a pair of modern wines from Dão, one of Portugal's best-known wine areas, formally set up in 1908. The name comes from the family of stone fruit trees.

Dão reds are firm and elegant, with rich dark fruit. The whites, about a fifth of the area's wine, are delicate and floral with good texture underneath. These two are lovely, up-to-date examples, and very good value.
